Series 5 of Waterloo Road consisted of 20 Episodes. Its main plot centres around a merger between Waterloo Road and local private school John Fosters, which creates a growing gang war, and the arrival of new executive head Max Tyler, who is constantly at war with Rachel Mason, as well as the case of Lindsay and Emily James, whose father has been murdered, with their mother as the prime suspect.
This series also sees the arrival of new Healthy Schools Co-ordinator Adam Fleet, who ultimately marries Rachel and whisks her away from the show and into an indefinite honeymoon.
