Serena-Michelle Davies was the Deputy CEO of the Lowry Community Academies academy trust during Series 13, as well as acting CEO while CEO Andrew Treneman is off having cancer treatment.

Series 13[]

She first appears in Series 13 Episode 3 when Waterloo Road High School headteacher Kim Campbell and deputy head Lindon King go to Heathview Academy to have a meeting with her and Andrew about Waterloo Road potentially joining the trust.

She appears again in Series 13 Episode 6 when the staff of Waterloo Road go to St. Clements Academy to attend inset day teacher training sessions, which Serena-Michelle leads.

In Series 13 Episode 7, after Waterloo Road's other deputy head Joe Casey struggles to get hold of an electrician after pupil Tonya Walters accidentally causes a school-wide power outage, Serena-Michelle comes into Waterloo Road to help out by bringing in one of Lowry's contracted electricians to deal with it.

Serena-Michelle comes back into Waterloo Road again in Series 13 Episode 8 to meet with Kim (and Andrew, unexpectedly) to discuss a possible alternative site for Waterloo Road after seeing the state of the building in the previous episode. She takes a dismissive view about lower-attendance pupils like Schuey Weever, suggesting "alternative off-site provision" instead of "wasting resources on underachieving pupils".

Series 14[]

By Series 14, Serena-Michelle has become the CEO of the trust after Andrew stepped down.

In Series 14 Episode 1, Serena-Michelle phones Joe to give him an ear-bashing after members of staff complain to their unions about his management decisions.

In Episode 2, she turns up to Waterloo Road personally, to warn Steve Savage to do things by the book on his first day as headteacher.

In Episode 4, after the sixth-formers hijack the Battle of the Bands event and change the venue, Serena-Michelle turns up expecting to attend and questions Joe and Steve as to why it has been moved. They fob her off saying that they moved it to the youth centre as part of building a collaborative relationship with the centre.

Trivia[]

  • There is inconsistency with the hyphenation of her name; it is 'Serena Michelle' without a hyphen in the credits, but it is hyphenated on the name tag she wears in Series 13 Episode 6.
