Ronnie Fairchild is the father of Scott Fairchild.
He is a police officer who frequently drives Scott to school in his police car. At first, along with Steph Norton, he supports the potential merger of Waterloo Road with Havelock High.
He first appears in Series 10 Episode 12 following Kevin Chalk's cycling accident. His son Scott flees the scene before he arrives, meaning he presumably never knew that he was involved.
He was involved in the case of Abdul Bukhari, where it was discovered that his father Hassan Bukhari had illegally bought him and that he still had a living biological mother. Ronnie catches Abdul breaking into Hassan's bicycle shop trying to find whatever it was his father was hiding. As a result he became involved in the case.
Ronnie and Scott are shown to have a good relationship, as he shows concern at Scott's upset over Kenzie Calhoun and Justin Fitzgerald.
