Lois Taylor-Brown is a new student in Series 14.
Lois Taylor-Brown is best friends with returning character Stace Neville and is loyal towards those she loves. She is quirky, eccentric and a sci-fi fan, even naming herself after Superman heroine Lois Lane.[1]
But underneath this, she has a heart of gold with a fierce edge. Lois is transgender and has gone on a journey of discovering her gender identity. This journey has shaped who she is, but she doesn't let it define her.[1]
Series 14[]
Lois is first seen in Series 14 Episode 1 among students clamouring to get their hands on likely stolen produce being flogged by Schuey Weever from a shopping trolley at the school.
She is part of Stace Neville's clique and is usually seen with her and Aleena Qureshi.
Lois and Aleena are among students who speak to the police following Boz Osbourne's death, and the two hound headteacher Steve Savage in the corridor about their own safety.
Series 15[]
Lois joins the Accelerated Learning programme at the school.
In Series 15 Episode 6 Lois visits her grandmother Lesley who is suffering from dementia. Lesley was Lois' biggest supporter prior to the dementia, but has started forgetting things and deadnames Lois, saying that she doesn't have a granddaughter, only a grandson. Lois is upset when her mother asks her to see Lesley again as her condition is rapidly deteriorating, complaining to Stella Drake that she doesn't want to see her grandmother like that. Stella convinces her to go as she'll regret not saying goodbye, but when she arrives Lesley has already passed away peacefully, leaving Lois some of her things. Included among them is an envelope containing photos of Lesley and Lois together, proving that she did love Lois for who she was despite the effects of dementia and was thinking of her until the very end.
