Liberty Gordon has had to grow up quickly as a young carer to her mum, Sandra, who has rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately for Liberty she has often had to surrender her own happiness to perform her responsibilities. Her first love is sports, but Liberty is also interested in her education. She wants to use her final year at Waterloo Road to achieve the best results she can, but will she get the grades she needs to realise her university ambitions?

Liberty was Havelock's head girl, but she later transferred to Waterloo Road, where she forms a relationship with Tariq. Liberty was portrayed by Adiza Shardow.

Liberty suspects that she has rheumatoid arthritis like her mother because of a pain in her knee, and takes her mother's pills, which cause her to vomit blood after the Waterloo Road-Havelock inter-school race.

Later in the series, Liberty is interviewed for a place at Edinburgh University and gets the place.

Liberty appears at Grantly Budgen's fundraising party, after which she is not seen again.

Trivia[]
