Kevin Burley is the father of Ronan Burley. He was a crook and wanted Ronan to join him in his nefarious activities.

Mr Burley is determined that Ronan will join the family business. But Ronan is not interested in a life of robbery and instead plans to get enough money to leave home. After speaking to Marcus, Ronan finally confronts his father and tells him that he doesn't want to be like him, Kevin is furious and throws Ronan out of the house and accuses Marcus Kirby of messing with Ronan's mind.

Ronan refuses to let Kevin beat him and thus calls the police on him while he is committing a robbery; Kevin is last seen being arrested. He is not seen again.

  • Although Kevin Burley's first name is never spoken in full, an article that Marcus Kirby is shown reading reveals that his name is Kevin and Tom Clarkson is shown saying "Kev Burley" when addressing Ronan's family history to Marcus Kirby. Despite this, the character is only credited as 'Mr Burley'.
  • Kevin is portrayed by Martin Kemp, best known as a member of the 80s band Spandau Ballet and for his role in EastEnders as nefarious criminal Steve Owen.
