Jack MacAlister was a pupil at Waterloo Road. He was once good friends with Barry Barry when they attended Havelock High, but he found Barry in bed with his mother and lost it. He was part of the football team and was captain and also strongly looked up to Tom Clarkson, who helped him overcome his anger towards Barry.
