Cat Guthrie is the daughter of history teacher Neil Guthrie and sister of Libby Guthrie.
The opposite of her fierce sister Libby, effervescent Cat is curious, carefree and doesn't have a ruthless bone in her body. However, she does exhibit signs of having a more aggressive side when it comes to dangers involving her sister, such as Jared, who Cat became hostile to.
Series 15[]
Cat first appears in Series 15 Episode 3 when she comes over from New Zealand to live with her father Neil. Libby's controlling boyfriend Jared quickly becomes jealous of Libby and Cat spending so much time together, and isolates Libby from her family.
Cat mistrusts Jared, correctly suspecting him of isolating Libby from her family. When Jared smashes Libby's phone, Cat secretly gives her hers. When Cat and Libby go out to a fish and chip shop when Neil has forcibly separated Libby and Jared by taking Jared on a school trip an making Libby stay at school, Jared escapes from the school trip and uses a tracking device planted on Libby to track her down to the fish and chip shop, and takes her away.
Cat's suspicions are later proved right when Libby records Jared beating her up on Cat's phone.
Series 16[]
In Series 16, Cat gets into a rivalry with Izzy Charles.
